This is the operculum of a seashell called Turbo or "Biou," found in the Mediterranean basin and notably on Corsican beaches.

The operculum has one side featuring a spiral design and a pearlescent orange or greenish side, depending on the specimen.This operculum is known as the Eye of Saint Lucia.
